In 1992 I met a guy who had been making a load of money in real estate by borrowing money and leveraging it. Until the banks called in his loans—then he went bankrupt. The emotional turmoil that resulted from that failure motivated him to write a book to try to help people find freedom with their finances. He also started a radio show on the topic. My wife and I were this guy’s first employees, helping him sell and deliver books, run his business, and hold live events.
