THE BASICS OF PROCESS

The value chain of an organization operating in a specific area of business or government is the collection of processes required by the organization to provide products or services to its customers. The processes are collections of related activities performed by employees of the organization for the purpose of achieving a common business goal: providing the product or service to their customers. Products or services to be provided to the customers must pass through all the activities of the chain in a specific order, and at each activity the product or service gains some value.
