FUTURE–PROOFING YOUR COMPANY

This chapter should have been a book, but then I would have had to write two books instead of one, and you might have felt compelled to read both of them. That's too much work for you and me. So I'm going to give you the CliffsNotes version instead. Not that this abbreviated treatment will rob you of any fundamental insights. The average business book is a Harvard Business Review article with extra examples, and the average HBR article is three PowerPoint slides with a lot more words. So I'm going to spare you all that superfluous prose and give you the pared–down, no–added–fat version of my manual for future–proofing your company.
