Chapter 8. Getting the Word Out

The saying “If you build it, they will come” does not exactly fit with Wi-Fi hotspots. Even though people might see your hotspot pop up on their laptop in the available network list, you should promote your hotspot. We are not talking about huge advertising campaigns; instead, we are talking about plopping some simple stickers on your doors or windows and spending some time in front of the computer listing your hotspot in online directories. This helps expand the use of your hotspot and increase the number of customers who visit your establishment.
