Ruby and the Web go together. The Internet and the World Wide Web provide so much information that finding specific bits of that information can be overwhelming. Popular search engines have made crawling the Web more manageable, but these search engines lack customization. If you were to write your own script, it would be possible to customize every aspect of what information to gather and how to present it.
