Chapter 6. Bad Competition

Competition is the keen cutting edge of business, always shaving away at costs.

Definition

Competition in the context of new enterprises is normally a problem (however, don’t forget the discussion of “good” competition above). In this case, competition is from a firm with robust resources, solid talent, a penchant for quality strategic management, excellent products, and a large and adoring clientele. This would be the quintessential “bad” competitor, that is, a person or enterprise who will simply devour your customers because they are truly gifted and blessed in running the business against which you are attempting to compete with your precious resources.
