Abstract

With the rapid increase of penetration of the wind-based resources for generating electricity, the assessment of wind potential is becoming a vital aspect more than ever. For tapping the potential for a particular wind site, in addition to precisely assessing the wind potential, the accurate forecasting of the wind speed and wind power for the different time horizons is also an important aspect.
