Abstract

In this chapter, we discuss how power generation from wind resources can be successfully integrated into power systems to “keep the lights on” without disturbance. We describe the nature of the challenges posed by wind and the traditional approaches for addressing those challenges incrementally as small amounts of these “alternative” resources are added.
