Chapter 11. Active Directory and Scalability

Scalability is one of the first issues discussed when large enterprises are examining a new technology for deployment. This chapter focuses on the scalability of Active Directory and discusses the impact on performance if more objects are added to Active Directory.

There are three different growth aspects to consider when planning for Active Directory scalability: growing a domain, growing a tree, and growing a Forest.
