Auto-Install Using INF Files
INF files are typically provided with the hardware and driver on diskette or CD. The structure and content of the INF file is the responsibility of the driver author.
INF File Structure
An INF file is a simple text file divided into sections, with each section designated by an identifier within closed braces ([]). Some section names are required, while others are driver-specific. Entries beneath each section control some installation action, or they link or enumerate other sections.
