11.6. Adjust Settings for a Presentation

If you use your notebook computer to make presentations, you can configure Windows 7 to use settings that ensure Windows 7 does not interfere with your presentation.

When you give a presentation, your goal should be to have the audience focus on you and the material you are presenting.

Unfortunately, if you use a notebook computer to show the presentation, it may interfere with that goal. For example, if your presentation is delayed while a discussion takes place, the computer might go to sleep or your screen saver might activate. Similarly, your computer may display a notification that you have received a new e-mail message, or you may have a distracting desktop background image.
