You can improve your notebook PC's battery life or increase your productivity by creating a custom power plan that suits the way you work.
When you use a notebook PC on battery power, you always have to choose between increased battery life and computer performance. For example, to increase battery life, Windows 7 shuts down components such as the display and the hard disk after a short time. This reduces the performance of the notebook because you have to wait for these components to come back on again before you can return to work.
