11.7. Set Your Default Location for GPS
If you use location-aware programs, but you do not have a location sensor installed on your notebook PC, you can configure Windows 7 with your default location.
Many software programs can work with location data to tailor their data and services. For example, a mapping program might use your current location to provide directions to a destination or to show you restaurants and coffee shops that are nearby.
Most location-aware programs can work with the data provided by a location sensor, such as a global positioning system (GPS) receiver.
