Creating a Tile to Shut Down Windows

Windows 8 no longer provides the traditional desktop Start menu, so there is no Shut Down command accessible from the Start button. Windows 8 does offer other ways to shut down your computer. You can shut it down by clicking the Power button accessible from the Settings charms, by using the Sign out screen, or by pressing Alt+F4 when you are in the desktop. And you can shut it down by pressing the Power button or closing the lid if you are using a laptop. But you can also create a tile directly on the Start screen to shut down Windows quickly and easily. This task explains how to create a Start screen tile to shut down Windows.
