Creating a New Dial-Up Connection

To set up a new connection to your dial-up Internet service, follow these steps:

1. Go to the desktop, right-click the network icon at the bottom-right corner of the taskbar, and select Open Network and Sharing Center. (You can also get there from the Control Panel by searching for the word Sharing.)

2. Select Set Up a New Connection or Network. Select Connect to the Internet and click Next. Click Dial-Up.

3. Fill in the information provided by your ISP. The first field asks for the local access telephone number for your ISP.
