Changing Your User Account Picture

When you install Windows 8, the setup program takes you through several tasks, including choosing a username and password. However, it doesn’t ask you to select a picture to go along with your user account. Instead, Windows 8 just supplies your account with a generic illustration. (If you’re running Windows 8 under a Windows Live account, then your Windows 8 user picture is whatever image your Windows Live account uses.) This picture appears in the top-right corner of the Start screen, the sign-on screen, and the Users section of the PC Settings screen.
