Identifying Files and Folders for Offline Use
You can mark specific files, subfolders, or even entire shared folders from a “remote” server for offline use.
While you’re connected to the remote network, view the desired items in File Explorer. If you’ve mapped a drive letter to the shared folder, you can select the mapped drive in the Computer section; otherwise, you can see it in the Network section.
When you find the mapped drive, file, folder, or folders you want to use while offline, select it (or them), right-click, and select Always Available Offline.

The server we’re talking about might be in the next room, which isn’t very “remote” ...
