Configuring and Managing Windows Update
Microsoft is constantly working to improve Windows 8.1 with bug fixes, security patches, new program versions, and device driver updates. All of these new and improved components are available online, so you should check for updates and patches often.
You might think you’d have to go online to get these updates, but that’s not the case. Windows 8.1 comes with an automatic updating feature that can download and install updates automatically.
