Product Representation Within WMI
As far as the Windows Installer is concerned, software is organized in a three-tier hierarchy: Products contain one or more software features; these features, in their turn, consist of one or more elements (see Figure 6.3)

Products sit at the top of the hierarchy. They represent complete, packaged applications or systems, such as Microsoft Office 2000 Professional.
