Anonymous Access
Anonymous access does not require a user account or password. Older versions of Windows required anonymous access for many applications and services to run. As these versions of Windows were updated and as new versions of Windows were introduced, fewer operating system services and fewer server applications required anonymous access. The following options for managing anonymous access are available in Windows Server 2003.
