Windows Firewall in the Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista operating systems provides both packet filtering and IP Security (IPsec) capabilities. Combined, these features can greatly reduce network security risks including the risk that malicious attackers connecting from the Internet or internal networks will gain access to internal resources.
The default security settings allow most network applications to have full connectivity.
