Pathping.exe Tool
The Pathping command-line tool for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista is used to test router and link latency and packet losses for both IPv4 and IPv6. For IPv4, Pathping works by sending successive ICMP Echo messages to each point in the path and recording the following: the average round-trip time, the packet loss when sending ICMP Echo messages to each router, and the packet loss when sending ICMP Echo messages across the links between each router.
