Moving the Client Experience to the Remote Session

It’s been said of Terminal Services in Windows Server 2008 that it "makes it like being there, only better." Let’s see what you can do to let users bring their personal work habits to the remote session, without causing trouble for you or the other users sharing that terminal server.

In the following sections, we’ll discuss both per-user and per-computer settings that define the client experience. Not all user-experience configurations can be managed at the user level in Group Policy. Where applicable, we’ll include the settings in Terminal Services Configuration and Active Directory Users And Computers (ADUC), for those not using Group Policy to configure all settings.
