What’s New in PowerShell 3.0
PowerShell 3.0 offers several new features and improvement for administrators, including the following:
• Workflows—Based on Windows Workflow Foundation, PowerShell workflows allow long running activities to perform larger and more complex management tasks, such as provisioning multiple systems at a time.
• More robust sessions—PowerShell 3.0 sessions are able to recover automatically from network failures or other interruptions. One can even disconnect a session, shut down the computer and reconnect from a different computer with the original task uninterrupted.
