The modern branch office often needs to provide services to users who are “hoteling” or traveling between offices. These users may work out of one primary office but frequently travel to other branch offices. Hoteling users will need to have access to their files at their current work location, which could adversely impact the WAN performance if the user’s files are located on a central server.
