Creating Virtual Machines
The first thing anyone wants to do after creating a virtualization host is to create some virtual machines to test the technology. In Chapter 1, “Introducing Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V,” you learned that a virtual machine is an abstraction of hardware, creating an independent simulated machine. This virtual machine has a configuration that mimics a hardware specification, providing controlled access to resources on the host server such as processor, memory, storage, and network.
