Guest Clustering
Guest clustering, while maybe not a well-known industry term, is the process of implementing Windows Failover Cluster across a series of virtual machines, which may or may not be hosted on a physical Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V cluster.
Guest clustering isn’t exactly a new concept either. In fact, you could implement guest clustering in Windows Server 2008. However, prior to Windows Server 2012, the only supported storage solution for guest clustering was iSCSI. Now with Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V, you can use Virtual Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel storage in your guest cluster.
