Using Advanced Authorization and Storage
HVR has the ability to create rules to store replica virtual machines in the DR site in different locations based on the name of the source virtual machine. The isolated locations might be different folders, different volumes, or even different classes of storage. Examples of why you might do this include the following:
- You are running a multi-tenant DR cloud and need to isolate customers.
- The SAN has a feature that you want to use on some virtual machines but not on others.
- It has been decided to offer customers a choice of different tiers of storage/price plans.
