What Is MetaFrame Presentation Server?
MetaFrame Presentation Server (MPS) 3.0 is the next generation of Citrix’s server-based computing extension to Windows Terminal Services, building on major technological changes over previous versions of MetaFrame first introduced with MetaFrame XP 1.0. MetaFrame provides robust application server support for enterprise implementations of Terminal Server. The core technology behind MetaFrame is Citrix’s own remote presentation protocol, known as Independent Computing Architecture (ICA).
