Migrating Settings and Data
When you’ve completed the installation of SBS 2008 into your SBS 2003 network, you have 21 days to complete the migration and decommission the original server. There are several steps in the process, some automated, some not.
Reconfigure Folder Redirection
The first step if you’re using Folder Redirection in your existing SBS 2003 network is to reconfigure that to point to a folder on your new SBS 2008 server. If the SBS 2008 installation program put all your initial shares on the C drive, you’ll want to fix that first.
