Connect the Hardware
The hardware you need for your wireless home network includes one wireless router (also called an access point) and a wireless network adapter for each computer on your network. As noted in the previous section, the technology you decide to go with, whether it’s 802.11a, b, or g, might partially depend on what hardware you already own. You may even decide to create a network of mixed, compatible technologies. You’ll also need a broadband connection (with a modem) to access the Internet.
