Business technology is fraught with risk. Successfully conceptualizing, implementing, and deploying business technology to achieve operational excellence and strategic advantage leaves a firm open to much vulnerability. It may arise from a variety of sources that can range from choosing to invest in the wrong system, to selecting partners who are unable to deliver, to implementing a system that is not used to its fullest potential.
