Abstract
The intelligent information gathering, analysis and monitoring process reduces the human efforts in almost every field of applications such as e-healthcare, industry manufacturing, e-voting and intelligent transportation systems, etc. However, the involvement of smart devices/systems for processing and taking intelligent decisions invites a number of severe security attacks in the network. The intruders may change the communication pattern and perform various changes inside the network for their own benefits. The aim of this paper is to propose an efficient and trust-based information forwarding mechanism for the IoT systems. The proposed approach provides the security while transferring, collecting, analyzing or taking accurate decisions by the smart devices in an appropriate manner. The proposed approach is validated against traditional mechanism over various security metrics.
