7 Making Women’s Power Visible

This chapter helps you stand up and speak out on women’s needs and, even more important, women’s power as a basis for economic growth and societal change. Use a gender lens and urge others to listen to women before they act. Amplifying women’s voices creates a balance—usually we only hear men’s views. Use sound research from independent sources to make the case for women-led answers.

Whether we like it or not, accountability for changing the status quo rests with women and the men who share our values.
