SOME MIGHT THINK THAT a least a few of my coaching habits were a bit unusual. For example, I kept a sealed envelope in my UCLA office that contained a slip of paper with predictions on it. No one was allowed to see those predictions until the Bruins’ regular season was over—and then only a select few.
