“How much should I charge?” That’s probably the most common question I’m asked. Every few days another email arrives from a designer struggling to price his or her services.
I struggled too, and even today I’m sometimes left doubting my quotes. Did I undersell myself? Did I price myself out of a top project? I’m sure I’ve done both, lowballing my services until my confidence grew, then slapping a higher-than-usual price tag on what I offer, to the detriment of the deal.
