Like many of the ancient myths the Greek storyline of Prometheus is somewhat inconsistent from source to source. From the perspective considered here perhaps the most important details evolve around the nature of Prometheus. Prometheus was the son of an ancient Titan who had been expelled to the lower world after losing the battle with Zeus.
