5 An Emerging Sense of Place Attachment
Simon was recently thinking about how important small things are in maintaining one’s sense of expectancy and belonging in a place inhabited daily. Simon was thinking now about, in the years before he retired, of going to the office each morning. While ostensibly Simon was the leader of the organization, there were many others that he counted on a daily basis. The sense of “place” was enabled by a common sense of cooperation and collaboration that enabled the day’s responsibilities to be carried out properly.
