Tim met with Sharon later that afternoon. Together they created a list of people to include for their first Kaizen event. The list included people from Operations, IT, and Maintenance. It also included someone (an “impartial witness,” as Tim called them) from Jerry’s accounting group—not for their firsthand knowledge but for their unprejudiced observations of Sharon’s group.
