The Situational Assessment and Management Team
Abstract
After training employees on the violence prevention program and giving particular attention to warning behaviors commonly associated with those moving toward violence, it is vital to build the team that will assess and manage the cases that are reported. We refer to these teams as the situational assessment and management (SAM) team. Such teams rightly would include responsible representatives from the various groups within the organization with the ability to make timely decisions, such as legal, security, human resources, and facilities.
