Chapter 5. Using Existing Controls

This chapter is all about not reinventing the wheel. Something has always seemed a little wrong with that phrase. First, in the grand scheme of things, wheels are a known commodity. It isn’t as though someone could retreat to his cave, think a while, come out, and say, “I have invented the wheel!” without being accused of all manner of mental illnesses. What we are truly talking about here is making a better wheel out of the one we’ve been given.
