Before we move on to writing your play, I want to share with you several additional writing exercises. Some of these cut right to the heart of what dramatic writing is all about. Others are designed just to get the writing juices flowing. Some of them are exercises I’ve devised, while others I’ve gleaned from playwrights and playwriting instructors from around the country. All of them have been proven effective in developing playwriting skills.
