Installation and Configuration of X-Ways Forensics
Abstract
You can install X-Ways Forensics (XWF) as you would any other program by using the provided setup program. However, XWF can simply be unzipped to a folder from which it can operate on nearly any source medium such as a compact disc or a flash drive.
The user interface of XWF is more intuitive than you would think a program born from a hex editor would be. Then again, XWF is much more than a hex editor and has many more features that support forensic analysis than any hex editor could offer.
