Understanding Projects and Files

When you create or open a project, Xcode displays the project in a single window view. This view has panes on the right, left, and bottom, which you can choose to show or hide. It also has an always-visible content area at the center, and all of the essential tools for building, running, and managing the window are located in a toolbar at the top. The figure shows this arrangement.
