Ruth Wilson is a mathematician for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). She has been a lead developer of the Geospatial Information Database System and Portal for over 8 years. Her research interests include object-oriented programming, mathematical techniques to improve digital mapping, and distributed communication of mapping data between servers and users in real time. Wilson received a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1993 and an M.S. in mathematics from McNeese State University in 1997.
