Summary

In this chapter we examined the Java Collection APIs. We started by examining exactly what collections are and how they can be used. We then created our own collections on top of the Document Object Model (DOM) and examined how we could sort and access a collection. We concluded our examination of collections by extending DOM-based collections from simple arrays to more complex lists. We invite you to go one step further and use the following section to continue to advance your understanding of Java Collections.
