xs:string

Synopsis

This is the most general simple type. Elements and attributes with type xs:string can contain any sequence of characters allowed in XML, although depending on context, certain characters such as <, &, and " may have to be escaped with character or entity references in the usual way.

Constraining facets that apply to xs:string are length, minLength, maxLength, pattern, enumeration, and whiteSpace.
