XML Content Management Tools

Unlike XML authoring tools, which provide a means of editing XML content, content management tools provide a means of managing XML content. When I say manage, I'm really referring to the safekeeping of XML content. Typically, this corresponds to a database or file system that is used to store XML documents. Regardless of which XML authoring tool you use, you will probably want to look into using a content management tool of some sort if you are developing a large base of XML information. On the other hand, many Web sites and applications that rely on relatively small amounts of XML data may be able to get away with simply storing XML files on a Web server.
