Inside the SVG Vocabulary
The SVG vocabulary is similar to VML in some ways. However, SVG is a more complete technology because it directly supports events, animation, gradient fills, advanced typography, and so on. Most of SVG's additional features are apparent when you take a look at its DTD, which is contained in Listing 34.2.
Note
As of this writing, the SVG specification is still incomplete. For example, the specifics of how SVG will support animation have yet to be outlined. So, although the DTD in Listing 34.2 describes most of the key features of the SVG vocabulary, it is still a work in progress.
