MathML Tools

You've learned a fair amount about how MathML is used to encode math content, at least for presentation purposes, but you've yet to learn how to view this content. The remainder of the chapter will focus on the software tools available for both viewing and creating MathML content using presentation markup. The following are some of the more popular MathML tools as of this writing:

  • Amaya editor and browser

  • WebEQ Math Viewer Java applet

  • IBM's techexplorer Hypermedia Browser

  • MathType equation editor

  • EzMath editor and plug-in

  • Mathematica scientific math tool
